Your Civilian Benefits
and the Workday Transition

As the City transitions our payroll system to Workday, the Employee Benefits Division (EBD) would like to provide you with a few actions you can take to ensure that all your benefit coverage information transfers accurately and there are no disruptions to your benefits coverages.

Workday goes LIVE in June of 2024.
The first paycheck processed through Workday will be delivered on July 10, 2024.

Step 1: Check and keep your current pay stubs

Check your current pay stubs to ensure that the City Paid Benefits and the Deductions for your LAwell Civilian Benefits, LAwell Tax-Advantaged Spending Accounts, Retirement/Pension and additional optional benefits for which you are enrolled are accurate and reflect your current benefit coverages.

LAwell Civilian Benefits include:

  • Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance

  • Basic Life Insurance

  • Basic Disability Insurance

Additional optional benefits include:

  • Deferred Compensation Plan (LA 457)

  • Pension Savings Plan (PSP)

  • Parking, Vanpool, Carpool Programs

  • Transit, Bike, Walk Subsidy

LAwell Tax-Advantaged Spending Accounts include:

  • Health Care Spending Account (HCFSA)

  • Dependent Care Reimbursement Account (DCRA)

The Employee Benefits Division STRONGLY recommends that employees print or save MULTIPLE copies of pay stubs prior to the Workday Go Live date.
