  • City employees may qualify for a
    parking permit provided that
    there is available space.
    If space is not available, the
    employee’s name will be added to
    a waiting list.
    Seniority parking waiting list is
    based on an employee’s
    continuous seniority date. If there
    is a break in service, the most
    recent hire date shall prevail.
    • Parking fees are deducted from
    employee paycheck on a pre-tax
    basis.
    • Parking is provided for vehicles
    based on a permit priorities and
    conditions set by the Special
    Parking MOU.

  • Must be 100% Electric (no Hybrids).
    Must be registered/leased in
    employee’s name.
    Electric vehicle charging stations
    available at City Hall, City Hall East,
    Figueroa Plaza, and Marvin Braude
    Building with plans to increase EV
    stations at other City Parking
    structures.

  • Carpool Criteria:
    2 City Employees or More.
    Reside within 7 miles.
    51% of total trip distance.
    3-days of normal workweek.
    • Compatible work schedules.

    Required Documentation:
    • Carpool application.
    • Description of route.
    • Provide proof of residence.

  • Types of Transit Options Available:

    Bus.

    Transit Reimbursement:
    • Up to $150/quarter.
    • Request due by the 10th working day
    of the following month after the
    quarter.
    • Proof of transit payment required for
    each month.

  • Receive up to $150/quarter.
    Must be an employee at one of 28
    regulated work sites.
    Commute by bicycle or on foot at
    least 51% of monthly commute miles.
    • Request must be signed by both your
    Supervisor AND the Department
    Transportation Coordinator (DTC).
    • Request due by the 10th working day
    of the following month after the
    quarter.
    • Request due by the 10th working
    day of the following month after
    the quarter.

  • Set aside up to $280 per month ($140 per
    payday) on a pre-tax basis.
    Can enroll or cancel anytime throughout the
    year by contacting LAWell and enrolling with
    WageWorks.
    TSA/PSA funds are non-refundable. Unused
    Funds roll over to following year, as long as
    you’re employed by the City of LA and have
    not separated or transferred to DWP.

    Transit Spending Account:
    • Purchase tickets/passes through
    WageWorks.
    • Transit Match - Up to $50/month.
    • Automatic - no monthly forms to fill out.

    Parking Spending Account:
    • Use to pay for commute parking expenses
    (e.g. park-and-ride or parking at non-City
    parking lots) through WageWorks.
